About
Jack's Cabin
Jack's
Cabin was built in 1965, when the A-frame cabin fad swept
through the Colorado mountains. It is a simple structure and retains
many original features of its era.
The
cabin is located in the pines at an elevation of 6,600 feet (2,030
meters). It sits on four acres, together with our home. One side
of the property touches the San Isabel National Forest;
other public lands, including the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness
Area, are a short drive away.
It
has two loft bedrooms upstairs, with a full kitchen,
bathroom, dining room, and living room/study downstairs. Each
bedroom has one double bed, plus there is an additional
twin bed upstairs and one downstairs.
The
kitchen contains basic utensils, microwave oven, refrigerator,
coffee maker, crock pot, and electric stove. An outdoor grill
and fire platform are also available.
